The competition adhered to the development philosophy of “coordinating tea culture, tea industry, and tea technology,” focusing on innovation in the new tea beverage industry and talent cultivation.

On May 24, a highlight event of the 8th China International Tea Expo—the "Longwu Tea Charm · Mixology Reborn" Creative Tea Mixologist Invitational—was successfully held at the Hangzhou Tea Expo Convention and Exhibition Center (Longwu Venue).

The competition was organized by Hangzhou Huajuchen Xibo Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Zhejiang Agricultural & Business Vocational College, Hangzhou Suye Vocational Skills Training School, and Modao Tea School. Under the theme "Deepening the Art of Tea Mixology, Inheriting the Roots of Culture", the event brought together 32 tea mixology enthusiasts and industry practitioners to explore the fusion of Longwu’s tea charm with new-style tea beverages through creative methods, helping traditional tea culture achieve a youthful and trendy innovation.

Using the six major tea categories as their creative base, contestants completed the entire process of crafting their innovative tea mixes within 30 minutes. The process—from preparing utensils and arranging the tea table to mixing and serving—was fluid and seamless. By skillfully blending the essence of Longwu tea with modern tea-making techniques, the participants presented a series of new-style tea drinks that balanced health consciousness with a trendy aesthetic, fully demonstrating the professional skill and creative prowess of the "new artisans of the tea industry"

The competition invited a distinguished panel of professional judges to ensure fairness and provide expert guidance. The jury included:

  • He Weili何卫莉, Secretary-General of the Tea Society of Changning District, Shanghai.

  • Chen Yifang陈燚芳, Dean of Zhejiang Suye Tea Research Institute, National Technical Expert, Zhejiang Master of Craft, Hangzhou Chief Tea Art Master, and Hangzhou High-Skilled Leading Talent.
