First-Ever Tea-Lacquer Integration Debuts as Northwest China’s Largest Spring Tea Fair Closes with Strong Sales.

XI’AN, China, June 10, 2026 – The 20th Xi'an International Tea Expo concluded successfully on June 8 at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center (Chanba). As the largest spring tea fair in the Yangtze River Delta region, this four-day event marked a new milestone by integrating traditional tea culture with the art of natural lacquer.

Pioneering "Tea-Lacquer Symbiosis" – To celebrate its 20th edition, the expo introduced a groundbreaking "Silk Road Lacquerware Exhibition" for the first time. This strategic innovation brought together over 100 renowned lacquer artists and organizations from more than 10 provinces, creating a unique cross-industry platform that expands the aesthetics and consumption scenarios of both tea and lacquer art.

Strong Consumption & Market Vitality Leveraging Xi’an’s role as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, the expo featured 32,000 sqm of exhibition space with 1,600 standard booths. Over 1,000 leading tea brands from across China showcased more than 10,000 new products, attracting a continuous flow of tea merchants and enthusiasts for tasting, purchasing, and signing deals.

Regional Brands Shine More than 10 government pavilions, including Xianyang, Ankang, and Fujian, presented their regional public brands such as "Xianyang Fuzhuan Tea" and "Ankang Selenium-Rich Tea." A special promotion for Ankang resulted in on-site signed contracts totaling 43 million yuan, demonstrating the expo's strong role in driving rural revitalization.

Rich Cultural Events Complementing the trade exhibits, activities like the Song Dynasty Tea Aesthetics Space and the Shaanxi-Fujian Lacquer Art Exchange were held, offering immersive cultural experiences that fused ancient traditions with modern innovation.

The 13th Western China International Tea Expo and the 8th Silk Road Shaanxi Tea Culture Week is scheduled for October 30 – November 2, 2026, at the same venue.
